This was a fun little course, the key word being little. The course is challenging, with a good design. The holes are laid out in a way that has almost every hole being right beside another, with little if any room in between them. There is no wasted space on this course. Since it is only 9 holes they have 2 sets of Tee-Boxes on each hole to give you varying distances for the front and back 9. There are 2 par 3's that are right next to each other that have you shooting over some major water and somehow that seemed to get harder on the back 9 that it was on the front. All in all its a fun little course that is worth the drive. Come out early because it sure seemed to have more people as the day went on. This is a very good course to play if you are on a budget.

"New Name for La Vista Golf Course"
The new name for La Vista Golf Course in Wichita Falls, Texas is HAWK RIDGE GOLF COURSE. This course has undergone extensive improvements the last year and one half. The improvements made have made this into one of the best courses in this area. While I rated it as 3 stars, it could very well be on its way to being rated much higher. Heatherwood Golf Club
"A golf course should not be located on this property"
This golf course is an example of the fact that you cannot take any piece of land and design a golf course on it. The property on which Heatherwood is located is so steep and tight that the designers would have to have moved millions of cubic yards of earth to make suitable fairways. The course features a Par 5 for example which should be played with a 6 iron from the tee, an 8 iron for a second shot and an approach with a Wedge. The saving grace for this course is the good bent grass greens. If tight fairways and blind shots are your bag, then give this one a try.

Twin Hills Golf & Country Club
"Weekend Golfer"
I carry an 18 handicap and play most of my golf on weekends. Recently, as a guest, I played Twin Hills. Super layout. Very tight and tough; but fair. Good work on winter fairways.
