This course has water hazards on at least eight holes. The fairways are fairly open, and the course is predominantly flat. The longest hole is #11, a 570-yard, par 5, which is extremely difficult to reach in two shots. The Western Canal flows right through the center of the course and can affect your shots on certain holes.

| I liked this course very much. For a city run golf course it was very well taken care of. This is a "wack-a-ball" course. Nice and wide fairways lined with big trees and par-5's. The scenery was outstanding for this Mid-west boy!!! They even had some swimsuit models doing a photo-shoot outside the back-nine when I was there. That slowed up the play for a bit!!! |

Solid muni course, Jun 26, 2005 |

| This course has forgiving fairways, but not easy fairways. By that I mean that you get away with a small hook or slice, but a large one causes problems. With the mature landscaping on this course, those problems frequently include trees. As I found out 3 times in one hole. :)) The greens were OK. They had just been sanded at the beginning of the week, and it showed, but they were still very playable. It was nice to see a muni course taking care of maintenance even during the summer. There practice area, including putting green, is large and very well kept. The pro shop was also decent. There is a restaurant on site, but I didn't visit it. The only negative was the typical one for muni courses - pace of play. Even on a Sunday afternoon in the summer heat, the course was full. The price was very good - summer rates were $18.50 for 18 holes and a cart. Actually, this was better than 'very good'. Overall, this course provides an excellent value - good course for a great price. I heartily recommend this course for all levels of players. |

| Finally got on the course after being a Tempe Resident for some time. The course was in great shape, and we were happy to see some Par 5's on a city course. Will definitely be coming back to enjoy this course for a while. Had a great time-- |

| both challenging and spacious the lush and inviting course provides myself and my compadres a challenge while still forgiving those of us with a slice or hook. solid greens and clean cut fairways worthy of a course that would cost three times as much, a tru fickle golfers dream! |

| Mature trees, fair course. Fairways in good shape, as are greens. Fairways are fairly flat, and roughs aren't too tough, except that you'll sometimes get behind trees. |

Good course for the money., Jan 23, 2004 |

| Played this course a couple of times last visit to area. Was always use to paying $70 plus at other courses. Was surprised and enjoyed this course. It just goes to show that you don't have to spend big bucks to enjoy a round of golf. Will be playing this course again when I come down this spring. |
