This facility has an eighteen hole regulation course and a nine hole executive course. The eighteen hole course features tree-lined fairways and fast greens. In addition, water hazards come into play on about seven holes, including #6, a 158-yard, par 3, which requires golfers to carry their tee shot over a section of water. The executive course consists of seven par 3's and two par 4's. All twenty-seven holes are fully irrigated.

Giant Oak playable for all, May 10, 2005

Giant Oak is a course that can be enjoyed by players of all skill levels. Though not particularly long, the par 3's are extremely difficult when played from the blues. All greens are quick and most have some slope. The fairways are mostly tree-lined yet not to the degree that will punish an errant tee shot. I've played this course from February though October and found that there is always a steady breeze. This allows the course to be playable after significant rainfall. There are limited cart paths which means that carts can generally go anywhere. Prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly. Good scramble and outing course. Nice banquet facility.
