This straightforward course has eighty-foot tall pines and several lakes that pinch many holes. The greens are small and fast, and water hazards come into play on six holes. The signature hole is #13, a 533-yard, par 5, requiring an approach shot to an island green. This course is the home for PGA touring professionals Jeff Maggert, John Mahaffey and Brian Claar. "GOLF Magazine" rated this course 90th best under the 1996 category of "Top 100 Courses You Can Play in the U.S." This outstanding public course hosted the PGA Tour's Shell Houston Open in 1994. This course is a part of the four-course complex at The Woodlands Resort and Country Club. This course, however, has a separate address, pro shop, and direct telephone number.

| The course has an aura of old. Once a great Tour course it now seems to lacking in updates and monitary investment. |
