This course's front nine is wide open and its back nine is tight. Solid course management is a necessity while playing the back nine because it winds its way through a heavily wooded area. In addition, water hazards (a stream) comes into play on three holes. The tee box on hole #5 provides a spectacular view of the Catoctin Mountains. This facility offers a discount day for ladies; please contact the pro shop for further details. Vending machines are available for snacks and drinks.

This course boasts wide open fairways with challenging obstacles. Easily the best course for the price in the Baltimore area.

Front nine is fairly open. Need to score there. Back nine has had great improvements; some of the holes were modified and are now playable. Expect it to be a challenge. Overall improvement is great. Greens are fairly fast and very ondulated. Good luck.

North Shore Country Club
"Great Bay Side Holes, and Tough"
Play this in the wind and you'll find your handicap is a little too low. Northshore is a wonderful course with great bay views on the 4 bayside holes. And Don't miss the gator on hole 12, the cormorants on number 3, or all the other birds during the migratory months. In winter the rye overseed makes Northshore one of the best courses in all of South Texas.

Quail Ridge Golf Course
"Great Learning Course"
A very fair, playable course. Gives the novice an opportunity to try their skills without extreme risk. It also will challenge the low handicap golfer with it's terrain and hazard placement. The par 5's are scattered on the course so as to challenge you at the most critical times. Holes 8 through 12 will leave you feeling as though you've run a marathon only to have very delicate par 3's ahead.

Only reason that it isn't 5 stars is cuz it's only 9 holes. Some of the best greens in the inland northwest. You will not always get a flat lie, but you will get a good lie because of excellent maintenance. # 4 is toughest short par3 around cuz of left to right sloping green. Get your birdies early or late cuz holes 3-6 are plenty for most.
