Tinker's Cool..., Aug 15, 2004

This is a pretty challenging course... Definately a course for the "slightly experienced" player. So if you can get the ball in the air, it's a fun course. Tall trees, creeks, and a calm little pond. Lots of intimidating tee shots!!!

Awesome potential but poor groundskeeping, May 19, 2004

I am active duty and this course is a deal, so I've played over 100 rounds there. However, I wouldn't bother if it were priced the same as the local publics in town. The course is well laid out with many mature trees and challenging water holes, but the grounds are very poorly maintained. Groundskeepers are strictly temporary, being shifted to/from other labor-intensive base projects, so the sand traps are not raked daily (perhaps weekly, if you're lucky). Most fairways are weed-free, but the rough is often a dandelion field. The greens are scheduled for replacement, so they should be much better in 2005, however you still may encounter un-raked bunkers due to the limited manpower. If you can play like me for less than 10 bucks a round, do it. If not, I'd go to another course.

Pretty good military course, May 06, 2004

The course is a fairly easy municipal type course with wide open fairways and little interference from trees. There is water on several holes, but well to fair played shots can avoid the water. Of the Oklahoma City courses and military courses in general it is better than average.
