This course was built on hilly terrain, so expect many uneven lies. The fairways are narrow, and the greens are medium speed. There are many ponds that come into play on some holes, creating a golfing experience that is both great for the novice as well as the more advanced player. Russ Tryon redesigned the course in 1960.

This is a very nice municipal course. The pace of play is usually quick, with some overcrowding on the weekends. The back nine is unique but seemed to have to work with the terrain it was provided. Only one par five on the back side, but some very challenging par fours. The front side is one of the best in WNY for public courses. The course feels secluded and private despite its location in suburban Buffalo.

Sheridan is truly a pleasure. It has 18 very unique and challenging holes. The course is hilly, has water on many holes, and is quite scenic. Great value too! If you're visiting ... play Sheridan ... you won't regret it!
