2004 July 4th let off the hook before the pm and nightime celebrations. My first visit to this course, tees are reasonable, fairways could do with cutting but heavy rains in the previous few days have probably hampered the greenstaff. The bunkers could be presented in a neater manner, however the greens were in excellent condition. They putted very true and reasonably fast. Not the longest of tracks but for the average golfer a nice test, opportunities for birdies to give encouragement, and the trees are just about enough of a problem if you stray from the fairway.

Woodcrest Country Club
"Woodcrest Country Club"
Woodcrest Country Club is not a long hitters course, but rather accuracy is rewarded. Woodcrest is famous for its rough, so keeping it in the Fairway is the play. Greens are smaller than the nouveau courses, but not the undulating and overly tricky type either. My friends who are low handicappers tell me that the course is tough but fair, and conservative play is best. Higher handicappers like me know the value of course management here.

Eddy Farm Hotel & Resort - Par 3 Course
"gone but not forgotten"
The par 3 course is gone, totally gone. The main course: nice course; open fairways; no real water to worry about. Can help your golfing morale. BUT . . . now only open to guests, AND renamed The Eddy Farm Retreat and Conference Center (the name says it all).

"Pleasent Golf"
This is a fun course with just the right amount of challenge. Pretty with the lakes and trees It plays reasonably fast, about 2 hours. The greens could be a little better, but they don't burn out in the summer. Cost is reasonable for the area and condition.

Grandview Farms Golf Course
"Rent A Cart"
Extremely hilly course. This is a challenge because of very narrow drives, lots of water and trees, and it is relatively long. I love the challenge here, hte course is a little poor on the fairways, the grass is still young and needs some more work. Great deal at under 25 with a cart, and get a cart or you will regret it, no flat holes on the course
