Olympia Hills is situated just outside San Antonio in the hills of Universal City. It was designed and built in 1999 and opened in 2000. The course accommodates for every level of golfer, and the par-5 sixth hole is the longest, stretching 575 yards. The course features dramatic elevation changes on holes number 8 and 11, dropping 50 feet or more. The greens are subtly contoured and putt fast and true with Flora Dwarf Bermuda, an improved hybrid with a tolerance for lower mowing height than standard Bermuda. The tees and fairways will feature 419 Tifway Bermuda grass. The course is equipped with practice facilities. A full-length driving range with elevated tee and sculpted target greens is offered. And when the golfer wishes to perfect particular strokes, a short game area complete with 10,000 square foot putting green, chipping area and practice sand bunker will be made available.

Wonderful Golf Course!, May 31, 2004

My wife and I first played this course in June, 2003 while visiting San Antonio. When we returned to San Antonio in May 2004, we couldn't wait to play Olympia Hills again! The elevation changes are challenging and the views are spectacular! The greens roll true without being overly fast and the course, on a whole, is worth a visit everytime we are in San Antonio! Looking forward to the next time!

"Tough Day"
I played this course with my brother,(scratch) on a Saturday in September 2003. We found it easily, we paid and went thru the rather surly starter and we were off, there wasn't much of a wait on the first tee. The first couple of holes were standard, it was a rather breezy day so I was really challenged to keep my ball on our the fairway.(this would be my problem for most of the round). Nice elavation changes, and the course looked great compared to it's neighbor,(whitetail). Dogs and beer at the turn. The back nine was just as nice as the front. Immaculate greens with challenging pin positions. Afterwards it was a couple of more beers and burgers at the lounge. Good food. If we had more time we would have gone to their fine dining restaurant, got a glance at their menu, looked really nice. great sunset too! Overall a great day.
