This course offers any level of golfer a true chance to play a professional level course without the professional prices. With environmental areas scattered throughout the course, this facility also offers the beauty of a true countryside view. The fairways are narrow and tight. The signature hole is #6, a 198-yard, par 3, which calls for a tee shot over water. The green is guarded by four sand bunkers. During the summer season, Friday through Sunday, carts are mandatory. This was the site for local qualifying for the 1999 U.S. Open.

wonderful course, Apr 13, 2004 |

| This is a beautiful course, set on rolling terrain split by streams, lakes and wetlands. When I played in April, 2004 it was in superb condition, with the greens rolling fast and true. The course is hard, but fair. There are not that many trees, so most of the drives give you a chance of bailing out safely on one side of the fairway or the other. The greens are well-guarded but hold approach shots very well. The highlights are three of the four par 3s. Number 6 plays over water to a well-trapped green, number 8 is uphill to with a Redan-style green, and number 17 is a brute -- long and downhill over a creek to an elevated green with lots of sand. Good luck |

Not the best course in the area, but close, Mar 30, 2004 |

| I found Worthington Manor to be a great test of golf from the back tees. Accuracy off the tee is not a requirement but is helpful if you want a good set up for your second shot. You will certainley use all the clubs in you bag. The par 3's from the tips are most demanding. Course knowledge is a must. Bring all you putting skills. When these greens are fast and hard...watch out! 3 putts are common. #12 to a back left pin position is one of the great par 4's in the state. |
