The back nine holes on this course were added in July, 1997. The course has undulating fairways and greens. The glacial terrain is very hilly with plenty of elevation changes, so carts are recommended. The are fifty-eight acres of wetlands located on and around the course, so wildlife is abundant. Water comes into play on six holes, and there are sand bunkers on each hole. A new clubhouse opened in January, 1997.

Truly Spectacular, May 14, 2008

This course has an amazing $25 deal for 18 holes with cart and sandwich. The course is in great condition, and the terrain is perfect for the golf course. The staff is really helpful too.

Excellent course. Fees are half what they should be for a course that offers this kind of slope and design. It was a nice change of pace not being able to tee up a driver on every hole and having to actually think about shots. An overall great course for low-mid handicappers.

This course challenges you to hit your ball straight. The back nine should be a national forest. It takes a lot of hard work to post a 70 on this course. If your in Cedar Rapids and want to go golfing at a difficult course it doesn't get harder than this.

William Sahm Golf Course
"Nice and Easy"
Sahm is really a well kept course. Fairways and greens are kept in excellent condition. It is really a nice, clean and basic course. Not too much water really comes into play very often and the sandtraps aren't too plentiful*. Staff are always friendly and the prices are the same as any other public course in Indy. Highly recommend this course to the weekend and beginner golfers looking for a pleasant place to play. I enjoyed golfing there and look forward to it again this summer.

"Scenic, challenging course in excellent condition."
"Really neat layout with fantastic views. New owners are making many improvements to a great little venue and challenging course. Super value. The only drawbacks are lack of bar and restaurant but the views and course conditioning easily make up for that. Definitely worth a stop for a day or two if you are in Western Wyoming
