This course was designed to play through the local canyons. There are seven miles of cart paths. Elevation changes are quite frequent on this course, so you can expect many uneven lies. The signature hole is #18, a 204-yard, par 3, featuring seven different tee boxes, a large hidden brook, and a large green nestled between numerous sand bunkers. Great Golf Course, May 14, 2005

I have played this course several times now... Different times of the day will lend different experiences according to the wind. The course is a challenge without the wind, and an extra sleve is required when the wind is blowing. Arnie did a great job designing this course. The use of the natural water hazards is spectacular. A slice of paradise in the middle of Vallejo. I'm thinking of buying there!

"OUTSTANDING VALUE"
Played it many times. Expansive layout, well manicured, nice greens. A little dry at times, but thats the neighborhood. Recent updates such as massive waste-bunkers installed in various locations make it attractive, looks expensive. A very fun course to play. Better than 2 or 3 other courses in the area. Water holes are a challenge and beautifully presented. But don't tell anybody, I like the course to myself. Going back Feb 3rd to the 13th 2004.

"New Name for La Vista Golf Course"
The new name for La Vista Golf Course in Wichita Falls, Texas is HAWK RIDGE GOLF COURSE. This course has undergone extensive improvements the last year and one half. The improvements made have made this into one of the best courses in this area. While I rated it as 3 stars, it could very well be on its way to being rated much higher. Ridge Country Club
"Ridge C.C. Review"
Ridge may not be a very long course, its only 6200 from the tips but its tricky. All of the holes are very narrow making accuracy important. Also, most of the greens are tiny and very difficult to hold because they are the fastest greens on the south side of Chicago. The course superintendent, Gary Galecki, deserves a lot of credit because the course is not just in good shape, its immaculate. This course is a treat for any golfer regardless of skill level.
