This traditional course has water hazards and numerous trees incorporated into its design. The course was built on rolling terrain, so be prepared for some uneven lies. The signature hole is #5, a 335-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot between a fairway bunker on the left and a pond on the right side of the fairway. The club hosted the Indiana Pro Am and the Indiana Open in recent years.

on whole #12, make sure that your tee shot goes to the left of fairway. If you go right, you have a large tree(not to mention the woods if you go in the rough) that you must hit around. Your second shot will have to go through a small opening with woods on both sides. This is the smallest green on the course but fairly flat.

Glen Oak Country Club
"Bring your control game"
Accuracy off the tee is more important than length as the fairways are lined with colorful trees. The small greens are surrounded by well-placed bunkers and then the real fun begins. The greens are fast, unless you have a downhill putt and then they are super-fast. Since the greens are so true, there are plenty of opportunities for one-putts, but also three-putts due to speed and breaks. Relaxed social atmosphere of club makes for a fun day. Pros, lead by Danny Mulhearn, are terrific golfers and teachers.

The greens are well kept and very fast at times. Many are sloped and undulated which makes putting difficult at times. The course is pretty open but has a nice layout.

Del Monte Golf Course
"Del Monte -- Fun and touch -- old school"
Great course, classic layout, old style, just a wonderful golf experience. I've played Old Del Monte many times. It is a slightly shorter and yet just as fun older brother to several of the other Monterey/Carmel area courses. Oldest golf course west of the Mississippi River, it is close to the Monterey airport, close to hotels, and provides a wonderful, old-feel idea of what it was like to play on courses before big land movers shapped and sculpted the ground. It is fun to play, fun to hang around at the pro-shop/coffee shop. Just a really neat golfing experience.
