This course has five lakes that come into play on many holes. The greens are large. The area is extremely beautiful with an abundance of wildlife living on and around the course. Nine hole green fees indicated are for play between 6:30 - 7:30 AM and after 3 PM. Senior discounts are only available for those with a resident card.

Typical Muni, Apr 05, 2006

I've played here quite a few times and it's typically Muni slow, but a good confidence builder. Except for the lakes, this place is pretty wide open and hard to get in trouble off the fairway. Of course being a typical Muni there is only a meandering and sometimes hard to find line on most fairways that seperates the "rough." On most holes there is very little difference between fairway and rough. I played there a couple of weeks ago, and the greens were in great shape. It's very close the Van Nuys Airport, so the noise of the jets can be pretty annoying.

This is my home course. It didn't get that tittle for just any old reason. No sir. You wait, and in 20 years this will be one of the best city courses in all of Los Angeles. Fantasic prices, great greeens, cool atmosphere.

"Don't miss out!"
Great clubhouse with good food and drink. All servers and clubhouse personnel are the best. The golf course is very well manicured and maintained. The only complaint is the hilly nature of the terrain. The views are splendid especially in fall. Go and enjoy, great value for your dollar.

Golf Club at Cimarron Trails, The
"My review"
Cimarron Trails is one of the most challenging and exciting courses I have played in my lifetime of golfing. I would recommend this course to any serious and/or just weekend golfers. The first minte entering the spetacular and spacious clubhouse you get a feeling of something special happening. It smells like golf and it is golf incarnate. "WOW, WHAT A COURSE!!!!!!!"
I have never putted on such undulating greens in my life, this course gave me fits.... I had never played here so I didnt know what I was in for, really tough course if your not familiar with it.... I crushed a drive on one hole, dont rememeber which one but I thought I hit at least a 300yd drive, well I did but it landed in a pond on the other side of a sloping fairway. Never knew the the water was there.... you cant see it from the tee box... (very sneaky). just one of the great holes on this gem....if you want some putting practice, then this your course.... go for it....
