This well-maintained course can be difficult to play because of the numerous trees lining its fairways. The fairways are plush, and the large greens are fast. There is a lake coming into play on one hole. A Friday night twilight rate is available during the peak season after 5 PM. There are additional sets of tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round.

"Good Starter Course"
For an inexpensive, well maintained course to play while you are learning the basics of golf, this course is the one to play on. No par 5's. The course has good water, and easy par 3's that are helpful when you feel the pressure of the group behind you when your beginning. For the price, the location in Fountain Valley's Mile Square Park is beautiful, and I've never felt that a person starting off in the sport would feel embarrassed to make a mistake at this course.

Mount Hood Golf Course
"Mount Hood is looking good."
I was surprised at how improved the conditions were at Mount Hood when I played it in the fall of 2003. There are new people running the place and I'd never believe it to be the same course I played a couple years back. One of the guys I played with was the teaching pro which made it fun and enjoyable to go around the course.

"Waste of time & money"
This course is extremely over rated. It's like most private courses these days "broke". They don't have enough money to make the course live up to the name it once carried. It's the Wal-Mart of golf courses (had a good name at one time, but now you don't get what you paid for).
