Enjoyable Track., Aug 26, 2005

Deer Run is a good example of a decent golf course that has been built in a residential community. About 35 minutes from downtown Mpls, the course is in great shape and features a lot of terrain changes. Houses aren't too close, but they are always present...not the course for you if you don't want to see houses. Driving range is so-so, small and mats. Pace of play was good...I wouldn't walk this one. Was able to get a late morning tee time on a Saturday with one days notice, through the web.

Not worth $45!!!, Apr 22, 2004
reviewer: Jim Biesemeier from Waconia, MN
Deer run is a scenic and somewhat challenging golf course in Victoria, MN. $45 though, I don't think so. It was $35 last year and I thought that was kinda pushing it. They do a great job of manicuring the fairways and greensbut you can golf nearby Bluff Creek or Timber Creek whilst not in the condition of Deer Run, quite a bit cheaper. If you are willing to pay $45 go to the Wilds at specified times for $50 or better yet Town Course in Chaska is a lot more challenging and scenic for $50.
