This nine hole course, which was formerly on the grounds of George Air Force Base, is situated on a mesa. Play begins at the course's highest elevation, works its way down and then back up again. There is total elevation change from top to bottom of 200 feet. The interior of the course has tree-lined fairways. The perimeter offers an abundance of desert-style holes. The greens are very small, which puts a premium on accurate iron shots. The greens, at first glance, give the appearance of being level, however, tricky undulation makes reading very deceptive. Senior discounts apply to Victorville residents only.

I have been playing this course for 35 years. Have not mastered it yet. A challenge each and every time I tee off. The clubhouse staff is superb. Ron is an excellent instructor.

HARDER THAN APPEARS, Apr 01, 2004
reviewer: ERICK ADELMANN from CALIFORNIA
THIS NINE-HOLE COURSE IS THE BEST THAT I HAVE PLAYED IN SO. CAL. THE FIRST HOLE IS A VERY MAKEABLE PAR-4. SECOND HOLE IS A VERY HARD PAR-4. 3RD HOLE IS A PAR-3 AND HAS AN ELEVATED TEE BOX. 4TH IS A LONG DOWNHILL PAR-5 THAT IS MAKEABLE IN 2-3 BUT HAS A HARD TO READ GREEN. 5TH IS AN UPHILL PAR-4. 6TH IS ANOTHER UPHILL PAR-5 THAT IS NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO PAR WITH AN ELEVATED GREEN. 7TH IS A PAR-3 THAT IS ABOUT LEVEL WITH THE TEE BUT IS SEPARATED BY A VALLEY. 8TH IS A PAR-4 THAT IS A GREAT HOLE TO LAUNCH IT. IT IS A STRAIGHT FAIRWAY THAT IS UPHILL THAT TRANSITIONS INTO A DOWNHILL APPROACH. THE 9TH IS A MEDIUM TO HARD PAR-4 THAT ENDS UP AT THE CLUBHOUSE. ALL IN ALL THIS A VERY NICE COURSE WITH VERY NICE PEOPLE IN THE CLUBHOUSE. TESS'S CAFE IS LOCATED HERE AS WELL AND HAS VERY GOOD FOOD (TRY THE CHEESEBURGER).
