This somewhat flat course does have a couple of large hills that can cause uneven lies. Water hazards come into play on six holes, and there are sand bunkers on the course as well. The large greens are undulating, and their speeds are determined by the seasonal weather conditions.

PVGC is wonderful!, Jun 22, 2004

I can think of no other course I've played that has such beautiful atmosphere coupled with gorgeous pastoral surroundings. If you live near PVGC, or are just passing through, you need to stop for golf or dinner and experience it yourself. You're in for a treat.

Every time I go there I feel right at home, maybe it's because my whole family goes there to golf. The Owners are so friendly and welcomes everyone. It really is a great place to golf!

"Bear Creek very pleasureable course to play for the experience"
Bear Creek is a very pleasureable course to play. To the unexperienced golfer it may appear difficult, and it is. Bear Creek is one of the hardest courses in Washington. Surrounded by beautiful homes and beautiful mountain views it is not only a challenging course but a scenic one.After living in the commnunity for several years take it from someone who knows, BEar Creek is the way to go!

"Lots of fun."
A great course that gives you alot of different looks. Short (almost drivable) par fours and long par 4 into the prevailing winds. A couple of reachable par 5s (for the long hitters). I enjoy playing it everytime I am over there.

Westport Country Club, The
"Adirondack gem."
My favorite layout in the Adirondacks, a course you can play 100's of times and never tire of. After a difficult first hole you are presented with good scoring opportunities on the front. Holes 10 thru 13 are as tough as they come and as scenic, they stick in the minds of golfers at every level. Take time to chat (or have a lesson) with John Hall, PGA pro and managing partner, I guarantee he'll be friends with at least one pro from your area.

Shenandoah Country Club
"Fun little course"
Shenandoah is where I learned to play, and it was great for that purpose. The fairways are somewhat narrow, but that kept me more focused on where to put the shot. The club is in the process of improving the course--drainage has been an issue--and it should reallly be nice in the spring.
