I have never been to a course that i would honestly say i would never return to until today. This was the worst experience i have ever had with respect to golf course staff. The supposed pro was so rude and condescending that he told me and my friends that he did not care if we ever returned and did not need our money. we had to that point spent about $250 on this shitty little course. If you are not one of the redneck regulars then you will not be welcome.

Stay away from Stumpy Lake, Dec 06, 2004

If you are looking for a relaxing and enjoyable round of golf, then Stumpy Lake is not for you. The course itself is mediocre at best, but the reason that I will never return is that the staff is extremely rude towards non-regulars. My foursome was continually badgered by the marshall (four times by the 7th) for a variety of reason. Before Stmpy Lake, I have never voluntarily walked off of a golf course before the end of my round, I demanded a refund because of the marshall after the 7th hole.

Good Price, Fair Course, Sep 14, 2004

Stumpy Lake is not the place to play following a couple days of rain as the course just does not drain well. Most fairways are open, greens receptive and layout is varried and offers a challenge to all levels of golfers. Rough on some holes is extream while many others bring water into play either directly or as a boundry. Staff is friendly and concessions adequate. City may consider spending some money on the club house as it seems about as 60ish as and old pair of bell bottoms.
