The well-manicured greens are slightly sloped, fast, and small. The terrain is flat, so the course is easy to walk, however you must be accompanied by a caddie if you choose to walk. The fairways are tree lined and bordered by a standard cut of rough. A U.S. Open qualifier tournament was held here in 1992. William S. Flynn designed the back nine, which was added in the 1930's. Golfers are only allowed to walk the course after 2 PM.

Deep rough. Welsh, I remember that Karl guy. Strange cat. Course was in fair shape, greens were too slow.

A great place to play for golfers of all ablities, but your driver better be accurate because of tight fairways and deep rough.

That one guy on their crew was really weird, I think his name was Karl....thank goodness he is gone. If he's working at another golf course, they'll be in for it, he was terrible. Overall the course is in good shape and the staff is fine.

One oddball on their crew left last year, he was a real distraction. Course is in fair shape, but it is very noisy with the surrounding commercial development.

i just became a member here and it's fun- the atmosphere is not one of those more strict clubs. it's smaller and more intimate- not as intimidating as others

Bear Creek is a very pleasureable course to play. To the unexperienced golfer it may appear difficult, and it is. Bear Creek is one of the hardest courses in Washington. Los Alamos Golf Course
"Great challenge for your game"
This course is a challenging course for the average player up to the scratch professionals. The fairways are tight and lined with sparse pine trees. The course is an old style course, which means it has incredibly small greens. The greens are probably to most true rolling greens in the state of New Mexico due to being so old. The course is short and very opportune for low scores. I really enjoyed playing this course and the people around the club. They treat you well and the rates are EXTREMELY cheap for such a quality course. I suggest taking the trip up to Los Alamos to have a great round of golf and also to enjoy the sights of the Jemez Mountains.

Country Oaks Golf Course
"Good Course"
I am a beginner golfer, and this is the place i am learning how to play. The staff is friendly and the other players always lend a helping hand. the course isnt too difficult, but its not easy. especially holes 2 and 6 where you have to hit over water. It's a nice course to play and I recomend it to anyone in the area.

"Playable challenge with awesome greens"
Not too easy, not ridiculously hard. Maintained meticulously. Driving range is small but adequate. Have seen lots of people drive 2 hours to play this course. It is a beauty! Y'all come. I am a member, but not an owner!
