This course's length is the main challenge, but there are also some elevated greens that are easy to three putt, and water hazards come into play on seven holes. The course has many dogleg and tree-lined fairways. The men's and ladies' tees have additional ratings for both men and ladies.

Be sure to practice your putting before your tee off, greens are still fast and break hard. The fairways are large and provide lots of room for error. Its location is beautiful, one of my favorites in the fall.

7/30/04 I played the course this morning for the first time. The greens were in good shape and slicker than you expect. There is also more break in them then you might expect.

Not kept up to its potential, Feb 18, 2004
reviewer: Darin Lowder from Alpine, UT, former Concord resident
This is my childhood course where I learned the game, so naturally I may have a little favorable bias. I'm disappointed with what appears to be permanent "temporary" greens. When are they going to finally fix them, and why should they charge full price until they are fixed? Until then, I'd recommend Blue Rock Springs in Vallejo, Franklin Canyon off Hwy 4, Delta View in Pittsburg, or Lone Tree in Antioch. Boundary Oak is a beautiful setting though, for those who enjoy viewing the surroundings before making a shot, just as the presentation of a fine meal seems to add to the taste just before devouring it. The layout also provides for some fun shots-- nice elevation changes and you'll use most of the clubs in your bag.
