This "pitch and putt" course is excellent for beginners. Be watchful of the geese on the fairways. The ladies hit from the same set of tees as the men.

Once a delight now worn down to only 9 holes., Aug 13, 2010

I used to come to this course a couple times a year some time ago and I have to admit, thanks to lack of funding this once great beach course has really fallen apart. The course itself is fairly simple with nice straight approaches and adds a few twists with several bunkers and lots of bush along the sides where you can lose a ball easily if you stray. A very nice practice course with a nice ocean breeze as you play. Unfortunately it has fallen apart with time. I went 2 weeks ago and found that it has been reduced to only 9 holes now and the grass is dying or overrun by crabgrass on most of them. Canadian geese have taken over a few spots so when youre not trying to shoot through them, youre trying to avoid stepping in the massive amounts of bird crap aaaall over the course. Honestly, I took a few cousins to play last year and it was never THIS bad. I was actually really taken back by it all. It didn't feel like the same course I played on not too long ago. Despite contemplating to ask for a refund before I even took the first shot, I still had a fair amount of fun. I really am dissapointed though on how much this course has worn down in only 2 or 3 years. Hopefully one day it will pick back up again to the great course it was. For now, however, I might not be returning.

this is a very short course about 77yards farthest hole shortest about 41yards but on this course theres 18 holes i wouldnt say its a good course but its a lot of funnn i shot a 57,65,67,70 my last game i did the best casue it gets easier as u play more i played 4 timers in a week and still find it fun, with all my friends

Bent Creek Country Club
"Exquisite Conditioning"
I was a member at Bent Creek for ten years until moving to South Carolina. Day in and day out, compared with top caliber courses, this is probably the best conditioned course in the Mid-Atlantic area. Tees, fairways, and greens are bent grass, as are the practice tees and even one of the two practice ranges. The course is more difficult than its slope and course rating indicate, with very difficult holes at the start, especially from the back tees. It is a great course for average players from the regular men's tees, and a fantastic test for better players from the back. An under-par score from the back tees is exceptional.
