A GOOD TEST OF GOLF, Aug 17, 2004

This course is a tight hilly course, you start with a long uphill par 4 with trees to the right and out of bounds to the left, and it does not get much easier. Very enjoyable.

A tight course with OB on all but 4 holes that makes the player hit the ball straight. Since most holes are not too long, hitting less than a driver off the tee won't always hurt, but, the greens are exceptionally small & several are elevated. Hilly & tough to walk for most, it is scenic and a very nice challenge. Only drawback is that the 9th hole is about as far from the clubhouse as any hole on the course (snack cart accessible on 10th tee-12th tee compensates).

Compared to the other public courses (such as Ashbrook) this is a better maintained course. The fairways are narrow and the greens in good shape. Lots of holes where you drive to higher elevations. Bring lots of golf balls !!
