This course is great for beginners. The terrain is fairly flat, and there are only a few sand bunkers on the course. In addition, a creek comes into play on two holes. There are additional tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round.

Great Beginner Course, Nov 06, 2004

This is a great beginner course due to it's no frills, straight forward approach and sense of direction. You can take your time setting up your shot without fear of the local marshals hurrying your game. Plus the view and the fresh air are a welcome relief from the day to day hub of the city.

I love this golf course. I play in a tournament here every year. I always think I'm going to do better but it has these challenges that change my swing. You will find yourself protecting against going out of bounds, water hazards, sand, trees...they have it all. The number 9 eats me up. It's a dogleg right and if you can manage to stay away from the small canyon on the right you still have the challenge getting on the green that you better save an extra stroke for! Be careful if you go over this green....nothing but trouble. The main thing about this course is the people. They treat you like you were the only one playing that day. You will love the scenery also.
