As someone who is relatively new to the game, I found this course to be an excellent training course to work on my game. There are a few tricky holes, like the tenth hole which requires a long and succesful tee shot, which make it an exciting challenge to new golfers like myself.

This course is not as bad as others are making it out to be. From the back tees it is almost 6700 yards, making it a long distance test. Sure, it is not a top course but at $25, you can't beat it. It has some fun holes on the back. Hole number 10 goes over the river and requiring a 200+ tee shot. Sure beats going to the point or rock creek. Cheers.

Big ugly, open, crowded field, Aug 27, 2004

The back nine is decent, but by that time your spirits have probably been broken by the dissapointing front nine which is more like a flat, boring, treeless pasture filled with bad golfers hitting across eachothers' fairways than a real course. Its a cheap course and easy to get to, which makes it worth playing now and then, but dont expect too much. There is no shade, so avoid hot days, and make sure you lock your car - had mine broken into while playing three times so far.
