This golf course reminds me of my country club in Florida. The location by the jail adds a nice atmosphere. I like the prisoners helping out on the course. Great course

simple charm..., Jun 11, 2007
reviewer: The Waukesha Golfer from Waukesha, WI USA
I have golfed this course multiple times over the last 20+ years. It has always been an inexpensive treat. The amount of low bushes, wide marshy areas, and condition of the course have radically changed since I first played the course. Originally, this course was part of a very high end spa and hotel in the late 1800's. This course now has a simple and non-deceptive feel to its layout and hazards. The low bushes are all gone from the immediate fairways. The marshy areas are confined to a foot or two of the streams. And the condition of the course since the irrigation system has been perfected, has been wonderful. The course is a relaxing, hidden gem in downtown Waukesha.

Nice Course For Relaxing Round Of Golf, Mar 22, 2004
reviewer: Larry S. from Brookfield, WI
This is the one of oldest golf courses in Waukesha County and is a very pleasant golfing experience - if you're not looking for an extreme challenge.

The 9-hole layout features many large, statuesque oak trees (absolutely beautiful in the fall) that come into play on many of the holes. The greens are kind of small and somewhat undulating, which makes putting a challenging if you don't know where to place your approach shots. Water comes into play on two of the holes and the fairways are fairly flat. The overall condition of the course is very acceptable, although not spectacular.

The real treat of this course is the laid back atmosphere that is acceptable for both experience players as well as high handicappers. I’ve golfed there many times and the people have always been friendly and patient.

For the price, it’s a very nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
