This course has a few ponds and wetlands that come into play on sixteen different holes. The fairways are narrow and sand bunkers come into play on nearly every hole throughout the design. This challenging course was built on rolling terrain, so be prepared for a few uneven lies. The greens are large, undulating and fairly fast.

3 stars says it all, Oct 11, 2008

THe course is always well maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. My problem with this course is that you can often be punished for good drives. If you can hit the ball 280-300 yards you will find this course frustrating. One must play the course often enough to remember which holes you need to club down, and which ones you can fire away or cut corners.

Great Golf Conditions but Challenging Shot Making, Aug 17, 2005
reviewer: Keith Krinke from Waunakee, WI
The Meadows of Six Mile Creek has a challenging layout which puts a premium on accurate shot making. The fairway landing areas from the middle tees are appropriately placed and wide for golfers with a 230 to 250 yard drive. Narrow fairways for those with short drives or extremely long drives. Fairways are bent grass and kept in excellent condition. Greens are large and hold shots well although they are "quicker" than the average public course. They are in great condition, however and run very true. Keeping below the hole on the tilted greens is recommended. The course has a fair amount of water and waste areas which must be taken into consideration when playing from the tee to greens. Errant shots will be collected by the water or by many sand traps on the course around the greens or in the fairways. Staff at the course are extremely friendly and always have a smile and a waive for the golfers. Facilities are adequate, clean and pleasant. The sandwiches and beverages are of low to average prices and are extremely well done. Call ahead as the course is extremely popular for outings and may be "totally booked" at some times during the day.
