This eighteen hole course winds through 400 acres of hardwoods in Union County, North Carolina. Elevation changes are plentiful on this course. The average-sized greens are pristine and have challenging, subtle breaks. The fairways play much like a mountain course. They are fairly narrow with narrow landing areas. This serene course is especially challenging for advanced amateurs and pros from the back tees, but does offer a good round of golf for the average player playing from the other forward tees.

YARDAGE DIFFERENCE, Mar 23, 2004

I enjoyed playing this course. The black tees are a little long for me at 6400 yards and the gold tees are to short at 5500 yards. I think they should make the gold tees at least 6000 yards.The course is tight but fair. At 5500 yards leave your driver at home.

Simply the best in worst greens, worst drainage and highest price! Can't be beat! Course maintenance? What the hell is that? It's not need here, cause crabgrass takes care of itself both on and off the greens.

Although an older course it has improved with age and with the rainy season last year (2002) the greens are fuller. A range is available and I try to get the most of my short game with the putting green. The back nine brings you up next to the airport but the single engine planes are not loud and are enjoyable to watch landing as your partner tries to keep up your great shot.
