This short eighteen hole course can be quite demanding because of all the trees that can affect your shots and the water hazards that come into play on key holes. Three of the fairways are doglegs, but all of them are wide open. The signature hole is #3, requiring an downhill tee shot from off an elevated tee box, then an approach shot over a stream to an elevated green. Horris Smith designed the additional nine holes in 1994.

Great Course For The Price. Usually I Play Either At My Friends Country Club So Im A Little Spoiled, The The Fairways On This Course Were Just As Good For Much Less Price.

Played back in November and was greatly suprised by the condition of the course. The course was in great shape and so were the greens. It may be a short course but it is very challenging to the average golfer. If your looking for a good time with your friends this is a great course. Cheap greens fees $15 w/cart for 9 holes and $27 w/cart for 18.

Lake Junaluska is a decently manicured course, which is fun to play for the price. Very reasonable green fees usually mean lacking in the ammeneties... but do we go there to golf or what? Rolling hills and manicured greens make it a nice time.

Hidden Oaks Golf Course
"Hidden Oaks used to be in bad shape."
Hidden Oaks Golf Course was run down into bad shape for a few years. The course was never kept up in good shape. But now there are new owners that have brought the beauty back into Hidden Oaks Golf Course, within two years. Hidden Oaks it still young, but I do beleive it has changed dramatically.

White Hawk Country Club
"Better than others around"
I have golfed at White Hawk for the past three summers and have found it to be a challenging three courses. With black being the hardest it is to the difficult level of a 5-10 handicap player. On average I should in the high 70's and find some days more challenging then others depending on pin placement. But if you are a golf with great accuracy then this course will be almost no match for you. For if you are able to stay in the farways even par is something insight. The course itself is taken care of very nicely and almost all of the employees are friendly. Overall it is my favorite course in the area.

A course perhaps more friendly for the long-ball hitter with more than enough water and some deviously placed sand. Access to the course requires a military affiliation or a friend who can host your play but, well worth the trip. Given its location (on base), play is seldom hampered by a crowded course which also makes it a most hospitable course for the slower player, the short ball hitter or those just learning the game. The placement of water (ponds and streams) makes for an interesting attack plan and invites disaster for the reckless. Improved traps, general landscaping and more attention to tee boxes and greens over the past two seasons has made the course much more enjoyable. The first six holes are a low rolling layout with a lot of trees in play along the fairways. The rest of the course is basically flat with several holes playing parallel to the runway and an occasional aircraft take-off or landing adding to the view. Course amenities are well maintained. Walk, pull a cart or ride in a relatively new electric cart. The golf carts are in great shape and an adjacent driving range is a plus for tuning up before hitting off of the first tee. The clubhouse has a small grill for lunch with a comfortable seating area for a beer after the game. The pro shop is equipped to handle most needs.

What a treat to play this golf course. Well layed out and challenging in a nice setting. The staff are great and you can't beat the price. I have played it many times and it is my first choice to play in the area.
