Located in suburban St. Louis, this course gets its name from the abundance of mature Persimmon trees on the property. The rolling terrain is extremely easy to walk and the fairways are only moderately mounded. The greens are slightly sloped and contoured and play very true. Water frequently comes into play in the form of two streams and five lakes that span the property. The finishing hole, a 531-yard, par 5, demands accuracy off the tee due to several fairway bunkers. A pond in front and a wall surrounding the green require a well-placed approach shot. This club hosted the regional Senior PGA qualifier in 1999. The 6,041-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 75.2 and slope of 130.

| Jeff Whitfield and friends did an excellent job here at Persimmon. The course is always in great condition and the people are extremely friendly. I also highly recommend the food! The true golfer will appreciate this course, it's not a country club. Those who are passionate about the game in St. Louis come to Persimmon for a real challenge and a wealth of knowledgable professionals. |

| This course is well kept and is truly a golfer's delight. It is totally focused on golf, no tennis, no pool. It has a very good practice range. The holes are challenging and scenic, there are no homes surrounding the holes which is nice. The only thing keeping this course from a 5-start rating is there are no mountain or ocean views, which is tough to get in the state of Missouri! |
