This extremely tight and relatively short course has greens that are small and fast. Water hazards come into play on ten holes, including #10, a 335-yard, par 4, which calls for a tee shot over a meandering creek. The natural rolling terrain and the tight, demanding fairways are framed by a host of cedar, oak, pine, and elm trees, which were planted in the 1930's and 40's by the visionary Lynn Burris. The club's tree-planting program continues even today and provides delight to golfers through all four seasons.

| This is a fun course, tuff greens that require an amazing short game. DOn't let the length fool you, it will challenge your game. The slope ratings are wrong on here as well. The tips play 128, with the middles playing 124.

| Wellingtons small bent grass greens are usually quick and in excellent shape. The course is short, but come with an excellent iron game and be ready to "get up and down". The greens are difficult to hit, and you will be chipping a lot. Plus the price is right. |

| Extremely difficult greens. Very tight fairways. Not a long course but you will use most clubs in the bag. Long hitters off the tee with accurate short games will score well. If you are not accurate off the tee - plenty of pine trees and squirrels will keep you company. Suggestion - Never be over the greens. |
