The greens on this course are in excellent condition, and the fairways are wide open. The lakes and bunkers that come into play make the course difficult. To score well here you need good course management and accurate shots.

Harder than it looks, Apr 15, 2005

This course is flat, which is uncommon in a Utah golf course. But dont let that fool you. This course has water on 14 of 18 holes. There are 3 holes in the back 9 (11-13) which are located in 'wet lands' 2 of them require you to lay up on your drive or land in a 10 yard fairway. The cheap price saves your wallet and friendly staff will let you walk on in most cases.

Cheap, easy, and very fun, Nov 11, 2004

I love this golf course, it is a main stay for the public. It is an easy walk course, unlike most in utah, and there is a chance to show off your long drives. The best part is it wont take your wallet for a ride, one of my biggest pet peaves about golf courses now days.

North Shore Country Club
"Great Bay Side Holes, and Tough"
Play this in the wind and you'll find your handicap is a little too low. Northshore is a wonderful course with great bay views on the 4 bayside holes. And Don't miss the gator on hole 12, the cormorants on number 3, or all the other birds during the migratory months. In winter the rye overseed makes Northshore one of the best courses in all of South Texas.

Newnan Country Club
"Tough Layout"
Beautiful layout with a lot of elevation changes and fast, undulating greens. The course also winds through a lot of trees, mostly pines and oaks. First six holes are a real challenge. If you can survive these opening holes with a score that's just a few strokes over par, you may be able to recover by the end. The 15th hole is a monster from back tees, measuring almost 650 yards. Overall, bring every club in your bag.

Where is the water? it is only on one hole, and it is not in play. You could hit a 9 iron over it. Short, but tight track. well kept, with a few good holes. only a couple stupid holes.

Chief at Sky Lodge Golf Course, The
"Bring it on!"
The Chief is perhaps the most challenging course I have played in northern Michigan. While it is a toughy, especially from the tips, it brings out a carnal instinct in me to play it again because I know that with my new knowledge I can improve my score. The course was in great shape with its bent tees, greens and fairways nicely manicured. The pro indicated that they just lowered the length of the rough, which made a great improvement. Service was also great in the shop. Leave your driver at home and have some fun.
