Great day on the links, Jul 01, 2004

I went to Wachusett Country Club and the course is in absolutely great shape. The tees are green and full of grass, fairways are plush and the greens(although people were saying they lost them due to a bad winter) are rolling great. They have come back and are in awesome shape. A must play, maybe the best public course in Central Mass. Every year I play there, they are always inproving the course. Ex. clearing wooded areas, extended tee boxs to make holes longer. Overall a wonderful day.

Truly enjoyed playing this great course. Excellent views of the water and Wachusett Mountain. Can't wait to go back this weekend. Truly the best course in central MA. Highly recommend

Beautiful course overlooking Wachusett Mountain and the reservoir. Grounds are very well maintained. Course is challenging yet very playable. Definitely a must for any avid golfer living in Massachustts and certainly well worth visiting from other locales.

"great course"
LCC is a beautiful course with low green fees, and I have been a member for the last two years. There are challenging holes on the course and with the high altitude one can reach the greens in two or three shots.

So So course. I was shocked to find out that the dinning is open to the public because of their alcohol lic. I mean, why pay for membership when anyone can come off the street and eat/drink at your club.

Lake Wilderness Golf Course
"Good targeted golf layout"
Likes: This is a good test of any golfers skill. It requires you to think and plan from the tee. Golfers who like to pull out "The Big Dog" and grip it and rip it on every hole will not like this course. The course forces you to play smart to score well. There are risk/reward holes worth the gamble, and others that attempt to sucker you. If you play smart you can score well at Lake Wilderness. If not, it may be a long day. This is a shorter course. The clubhouse has good food and good beer. Dislikes: Only one really. I don't care for holes where there are houses close. This course has a handful of them.
