HIDDEN GEM OF NEW JERSEY, Dec 21, 2008
reviewer: Thomas Cannan from Pittstown,NJ
When I was a child my father was close friends with the resident manager, Terry Hadash. I played on the course as a child, on a few Mondays (Course was closed), but as a child it was not seen as the very special place it is. I have been invited as a guest to play several rounds in my adult years and once past the emotions of a lost father, this course is truly a hidden gem of New Jersey, I have played some of the best courses in the world, Old Course, Pine Valley, and been to Augusta, in my opinion, Mountain Ridge should be reviewed again, and this time judged in the correct light. Donald Ross, did some of his finest work here and the grounds crew mantains the dignity of this very special place. I love to play on as many Ross designs as possible, but this is my favorite. Pinehurst another Ross design doesn't come close. Congrats to the membership, you have a gem.

very very good, Jul 13, 2004
reviewer: Alex Bick from Short Hills, NJ USA
I am a member of Mountain Ridge and i could not be happier with the course. All the sand traps and tee boxes were just redone and it is absolutely gorgeous. It is very very expensive, but if you are a golfer, it is worth it. An incredible course with great views and a nice quiet feel. If you are willing to fork up a big piece of money it is worth it. The back 9 is much prettier than the front and has water. It is a closed off course and is a great to place to play if you are a golfer.
