This traditional course was built on rolling hills and features tree-lined fairways. The large greens are undulating and well bunkered. Water hazards come into play at least four times. The signature hole is #16, a 604-yard, par 5, requiring a tee shot up a fairway that has a tree growing in its center, then an approach shot to a well-bunkered green.

Played this course Dec 17 2011. Very affordable. Course in great shape for this time of year. Greens fast and smooth. No leaves all over the place. Friendly Staff. More improvements coming in 2012.

Poor Condition, poor management, no courtesy. Had a group of senior citizen golfers call and make tee time, travel more than 100 miles, have to pay full price. Greens are being killed off, few with any grass. Course to close in June09 to redo all the greens. No warning when tee time made. No response from clubhouse other than "don't play". Don't worry, won't ever again.

Fun and Challenging, Dec 30, 2004 |

Indian River is one of the best, if not the best, public courses in the area. The layout is both challenging and fun to play. Better bring your "A" game on the greens. They are large with undulations-a-plenty. Can't think of many more places I'd rather play around here.

Indian River is not a course you want to walk. Tough, rolling terrain in good condition. Long puts can seem unfair due to undulations. Fairways are lush. A good test!

This course is in emacculate condition. The green were in smooth and spotless. Fairways plush and layout difficult. This is by far the best all around course in the area.
