This wooded course was built on rolling terrain, so you can expect many uneven lies in the fairways. Water hazards come into play on many holes, and the scenic fairways are heavily, tree lined. The greens are very fast. The signature hole is #11, a par 5, featuring a 100-foot drop in elevation to a small green. The senior discount rate is only available Monday through Thursday.

A Fine Track, Jan 05, 2005
reviewer: Phil from Speedway, IN
Grand Oak is a golf course worth the drive. We have a group that annually treks from Indianapolis to make the hour and a half drive to tee it up at this fine course. Sometimes we make this trip more than once. Number 11 is my favorite tee box in the state. Most of the par threes involve water and some of the greens are treacherously sloped. It's fairly short, so play it from the back tees. Enjoy!

Good challenge, very scenic, fun course, Mar 31, 2004
reviewer: Joe from Cincinnati
I was pleasantly surprised by this course. Since I had not heard much about it, I thought I'd give it a try with my associates. We all were very struck by the scenic view, particularly on the 11th (I think) hole, where you look out across a large valley over trees at hills reminiscent of the Appalachian foot hills. I had no idea there was such beautiful terrain in the Ohio/Indiana area! The course itself proved to be a good challenge. It's no tour course, but definitely a great course for intermediate to advanced amateurs. Well-kept greens, challenging approaches, good variety of obstacles. Excellent price, making it a great overall value. I'll return!
