This classical Donald Ross course is loaded with plush fairways that are surrounded by gorgeous mature trees. The fast greens are tricky to read and the rough is tough to hit from. The ponds and creeks offer a challenge, especially on holes #9 and #18.

It's always in great condition, with large, fast greens, and deep bunkers. There are a lot of elevation changes, especially on the back, and the par 3s are challenging. If you like Donald Ross courses, with blind shots and undulating greens, you will love the "Wamp." The staff are great and very friendly. The only thing I don't like is that there aren't nearly enough yardage markers.

" Everybody has two swings-a beautiful practice swing and the choked-up one with with which they hit the ball. So it wouldn't do either of us a damned bit of good to look at your practice swing. -Ed Furgol "
