This classical Donald Ross course is loaded with plush fairways that are surrounded by gorgeous mature trees. The fast greens are tricky to read and the rough is tough to hit from. The ponds and creeks offer a challenge, especially on holes #9 and #18.

| It's always in great condition, with large, fast greens, and deep bunkers. There are a lot of elevation changes, especially on the back, and the par 3s are challenging. If you like Donald Ross courses, with blind shots and undulating greens, you will love the "Wamp." The staff are great and very friendly. The only thing I don't like is that there aren't nearly enough yardage markers. |

| It plays nice in both the morning and afternoon. Difficult back 9 with some beautiful vistas of Avon mountain... best played in late august and fall. Greens can play hard at times adn the course is well maintained. Challenging for both long and short game. Members are either really out going or snobby... you'll find more of the latter. |
