This course was built on flat terrain and is heavily wooded. There are water hazards that come into play on seven holes. Most of the fairways are tree lined and sand bunkers are strategically placed throughout the design.

Great value/tough holes, Feb 11, 2004

This course starts with the hardest starting hole in the Rochester area. Dogleg par 5 with Genesee River on the left the entire way. Second hole is a tough par 4 with bunkers in front of the green. Water comes into play on 5 holes. Greens and fairway are normally in great condition. It's a 9 holer, but for a good challenge at a nice price, you can't beat Riverton. I now live in AZ and refuse to pay what they want for a round out here.

Vista Valencia Golf Course - Executive Course
"Short crowded course no joy to play"
Vista Valencia is a golf course that survives because it is one of the few places to play in the highly populated Santa Clarita Valley. This is a classic American Golf type of club. Short on amenities and long on wait, wait, wait. The goal here is to get as many people on the course that ensures the day's sales. Some very short tricked up par three's, par four's are somewhat better #1, #7, #10, and #18 are decent. It is hard to keep this course in great shape and the practice facilities are always crowded. Play somewhere else if you have a chance in So. Cal rather than here. Rounds can be up to five hours long on this executive course.

Keys Public Course
"Great little course...."
Keys is a great little course very close to Sandusky. This little course has mature trees rolling fairways and a wonderful layout. Forget the hype of the bigger courses around go to Keys and get more bang for your buck!
