So cheap I can't give only 1STAR..., Jul 15, 2004

I like this course just to knock off the dust from the snow months. After a few rounds, and playing a couple PAR 72's I don't enjoy it until the following season. Very very short holes. Be ready to tee off with a PW many times. Last round I went there was about an hour wait to tee off, and the clubhouse would not allow anyone to start on any tee other than #1. The female at the clubhouse register was not the nicest gal in the world. When I asked if we could start at #10 where there was no wait, I was told, "No." It was rediculous to wait for eight foresomes to play such a hackers course. Oh yeah, beware of the many kids playing in front of you, and the college kids drinking beer and sharing clubs.

I started golfing here when I was 10 and really felt that it improved my game to the level needed to golf on par 72 courses. It is not anything beautiful, but it gets the job done.

Fun course to play to work on iron and short game play. 18 holes for only $8.50, can't beat that.

Me and a friend played this course yesterday... the 1st hole is a temporary parking lot and it is replaced by the driving range area which has been converted into a boring first hole. the course is poorly maintained and mostly boring. it is full of longer par 3's considering it is an executive course. if it was cheaper it would be worth it possibly if it was under 10 dollars a round.

Vista Valencia Golf Course - Executive Course
"Short crowded course no joy to play"
Vista Valencia is a golf course that survives because it is one of the few places to play in the highly populated Santa Clarita Valley. This is a classic American Golf type of club. Short on amenities and long on wait, wait, wait. The goal here is to get as many people on the course that ensures the day's sales. Some very short tricked up par three's, par four's are somewhat better #1, #7, #10, and #18 are decent. It is hard to keep this course in great shape and the practice facilities are always crowded. Play somewhere else if you have a chance in So. Cal rather than here. Rounds can be up to five hours long on this executive course.
