This club has four excellent nine hole courses. These courses are played in many different combinations. All four courses start at the top of a hill and begin with a downhill tee shot. The fairways are tree lined, and water hazards come into play on a few holes. Slope and course ratings are only available for the championship and men's tees; these ratings apply the same for all course combinations. This club was originally founded in 1892 and has been listed by the USGA as one of the first 100 clubs established in the U.S. In addition, it was recognized by "GOLF Magazine" in their 1995 list of "The First 100 Clubs in America." Robert Trent Jones performed renovations on these courses in 1935 and 1959, followed by Rees Jones in 1977 and 1983.

"Beware the Trees"
CCCC offers an interesting layout nestled in a thickly forested peninsula that juts into Cedar Creek Lake, about 60 miles southeast of Dallas. The course will challenge you, but it is not impossible.

Glen Garden Golf & Country Club
"History"
Glen Garden is a great place for Golfers of all ages. Playing on the course, it is easy to see how it produced such greats as Hogan and Nelson. They have the classic postage stamp greens. You must be accurate with your approach shot or you will miss the green. It is a great course for beginners as there are relatively few holes where a bad shot will lose your ball. The pace of play is very relaxed and the course staff are over the top friendly. The only down side to Glen Garden is that when it was built it was out in the country (1912?). In the 1950's Fort Worth grew and houses went up all around the course. Unfortunately these houses we small wooden houses and over the years it has become the bad side of town. There have been huge efforts by the local population over the last ten years to clean things up but it will take time. I highly recommend a visit to Glen Garden for any golfer. If you have an interest in history you will find it fantastic to consider you are walking on holy grounds.

Montecito Country Club
"My first course"
I grew up playing MCC. The main criticism of the track has always been that you never get a flat lie, which is often enough true, but a weak criticism nonetheless. When typically fast the greens are challenging (hint: everything breaks toward the ocean); on #13, if you don't keep it below the hole, any putt you don't sink will wind up all the way at the bottom. The course favors a longer driver, and offers plenty of challenge and opportunity for creativity. And you can't beat the view of the Pacific.
