This is the only club that has courses designed by Jack Nicklaus, Sr. and Jack Nicklaus, Jr. A third course by Jack Nicklaus, The Tradition, was partially completed in 1999 and is currently playing as a six hole course. Construction on the remaining nine holes is scheduled to be completed during the 2000 golf season. Both the Legend and Heritage courses are in excellent condition and well maintained. The Legend Course is the more demanding because of the length and the water hazards that come into play on many holes. The signature hole is #13, a par 3, requiring a tee shot to an island green. The Heritage Course has tight fairways, and its undulating greens are fast and large. Both courses have two-tiered greens, flat terrain with mounds and some elevation changes. Ponds and lakes come into play several times on both courses.

Mill Creek Golf Club
"Living and Playing Mill Creek"
I chose to live in the Mill Creek Community after playing Mill Creek Golf Course. The course is long enough to challenge the low handicapper while allowing the average golfer to handily compete. While each hole presents its unique challenge, holes 7, 9, and 15 can be particularly formidable. Hole 7 is a reasonably short par 4, just 326 yards from the white tees and 400 yards from the championship tees, but take the ball out of the fairway -- kiss it good bye. Hole 9 (359 yards from the white tees and 439 from the championship tees) commands distance and accuracy from the tee if one expects to reach the green in two. A bed of rocks to the left of the fairway, woods to the right, and a ravine paralleling its length on the left with a wide ditch crossing the fairway about 50 yards from the green, simply command excellent club selection. Hole 15 and be a pussy cat or a bear. Wind in your face requires a long wood. Wind with you, and a five iron may place your ball in a 50 yard water and grass hazzard which crosses the fairway about 100 yards from the green. The entire course undulates and winds through just over 7000 yards from the championship tees. The fairways allow the ball to be played down while the bent greens firmness can cause many putter miscalulations. All in all, this is a great course -- especially at fees ranging from $39 - $59, cart included.

East Liverpool Country Club
"Links Course"
The East Liverpoool Country Club is a nine hole course. It features a links style course that has elevated greens on eight of the nine holes. Wooded areas and strategically placed bunkers add to the beauty and challange of the course. The entire course is served by an automatic watering system. The undulating greens can provide interesting pin placemets. The ninth and eighteenth holes are served by two different greens.

This is by far one of the greatest jems out there today. Challenges around every turn. Unfortunately it's private and very difficult to get on. If you are lucky enough to have an outing here be sure to attend. You won't be disapointed.
