This is one of the most scenic courses in Connecticut. The course's setting offers a view of Long Island Sound. The fairways are tree lined and the terrain is hilly but walkable. The greens are fast and there are ponds that come into play. Guests are not allowed to play without a member.

Nice Views - great condition, Aug 25, 2005

The course is difficult and many holes vary from high-low play to the exact opposite. There is no absence of water and the greens may be a bit quick at times, but the course is in pristine condition and the variety of hole designs will definitely make one of them your favorite.

Marshallia Ranch Golf Course
"Marshallia Rocks"
This is one tough but, neat course. Carved out of the hills surrounding Vandenberg AFB, the layout is challenging and scenic. Play in the fall and winter for the best weather, because spring and summer can be very cool and windy. Each hole rewards a decent shot, but plucks out your heart if your shot runs errant. Ice plant gives a new meaning to the word, rough. Here's a putting tip, 90% of the putts break toward the high hills to the south, though you will swear it can't be. The course is usually in terrific condition and the Clubhouse very accomodating. Green fees, equipment and food are more than reasonable when compared to nearby courses. This is one gem all golfers must experience.

"New golfer playing late afternoon"
Have played over 15 times in last two months. Newer player and have had a great time playing. The staff is the best.......... I play after 3:00 pm Jan-Mar. Iron only driving range and good putting green. I have been able to build up for my handycap.

Del Monte Golf Course
"Del Monte -- Fun and touch -- old school"
Great course, classic layout, old style, just a wonderful golf experience. I've played Old Del Monte many times. It is a slightly shorter and yet just as fun older brother to several of the other Monterey/Carmel area courses. Oldest golf course west of the Mississippi River, it is close to the Monterey airport, close to hotels, and provides a wonderful, old-feel idea of what it was like to play on courses before big land movers shapped and sculpted the ground. It is fun to play, fun to hang around at the pro-shop/coffee shop. Just a really neat golfing experience.
