This course originally used a flock of sheep to trim the greens when it was known as Westport Inn Golf Links in the early 20th century. The scenic design overlooks Lake Champlain and offers fabulous views of the surrounding mountains. The greens are medium-sized and fast, and the back nine is tighter than the front nine. Many trees line the fairways, and there is water that comes into play on three holes. Walking is permitted after 2 PM.

Adirondack gem., Feb 11, 2004

My favorite layout in the Adirondacks, a course you can play 100's of times and never tire of. After a difficult first hole you are presented with good scoring opportunities on the front. Holes 10 thru 13 are as tough as they come and as scenic, they stick in the minds of golfers at every level. Take time to chat (or have a lesson) with John Hall, PGA pro and managing partner, I guarantee he'll be friends with at least one pro from your area.
