This is a great golf course! I started playing golf on this course 44 years ago. Talk about a great course to cut your teeth on. If you can learn to play this very tough course you can play anywhere in the world. I'm glad they named this course after Gil Morgan. The Morgan's were and are a great family. We moved away from Wewoka to Hobbs, NM in 1964, but I'll never forget all of the great memories that my brother Mike and I had there learning to play this fabulous game.

Deer Run Golf Course
"One of the best courses in the area"
This course is a very mature course with a scorable front 9. The back nine is more diffecult to score on, but it can be done if you take some chances. This course is definatly one of the better courses within a fifty mile radius. 5 lakes come into play not three and there is a large creek that runs through the middle of the entire course. The entire course was carved out of the timber so it is very mature. Over all a good course for a small town.
