This tight course has a lot of trees which can alter your shots and average-sized greens. What makes this course unique is that all the fairways are dogleg configurations, so the greens are not visible from off the tees.

| White Plains G.C. is by far one of the best public courses that tells you "the golfer" where you have to hit all your shots. It might seem tight and short to most golfers, but beware this little course packs a punch. I had played it a couple of times last season before the PGA P.A.T that was held there and it seems that everytime you play it it has something else to swing at you with. The par 5 18th is one that will make you think right off the tee, do I go big from the box and take a chance not getting home in two or do I play it like it is meant to be played and hit a 2iron from the box
so that my next shot does not get anywhere near the water hazarad that trickels out in front of the green? If you try to take advantage of this track you will be hit with a barage of left and right hooks and the finishing hole will be your finishing blow, a hugh uppercut that "will" send you to your knees. Thanks for all the great times for just a couple of dimes. |
