This resort, which was named to "GOLF Magazine's" 1998 list of "Gold Medal Resorts," features three regulation eighteen hole courses. The Greenbrier Course has elevated greens that are guarded by deep-set bunkers. This championship course was built on moderately rolling terrain. The 1979 Ryder Cup and the 1994 LPGA Solheim Cup matches were held on the Greenbrier Course. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the "Best in State" course for 1995-96, and 2nd best for 1997-98. "GOLF Magazine" named it 41st under the 1998 category of the "Top 100 Courses You Can Play in the U.S." Jack Nicklaus redesigned the Greenbrier Course in 1978. The Meadows Course was built on rolling terrain and offers a panoramic view of the Allegheny Mountains. The Old White Course is a Scottish-style design which was also built on mildly rolling terrain. The designers incorporated holes from several famous European layouts. "GOLF Magazine" rated this course 97th best under the 1998 category of "Top 100 Courses You Can Play in the U.S." In addition, it was rated as the 3rd "Best in State" course for the years 1995 through 1998. Golfers are allowed to walk the course only after 4 PM; however, the green fees remain the same.
