3 good holes, but the rest......................., May 24, 2004

forgetable. Pretty much a course that was built to sell home lots. Holes beside holes or houses. Very flat, no trees (except those 3 holes), not much water (except those 3 holes)...you get the idea. Staff is friendly, and it is well mainained however.

It's one of the better kept golf courses. But with the exception of a couple things I think it is one of the finer courses in Wichita.

Found course to be very challenging. Greens were the best I have ever played on. Some areas on course under repair with new irrigation system, but that will only improve the fairways. Look forward to playing the course in the future.

"Good Starter Course"
For an inexpensive, well maintained course to play while you are learning the basics of golf, this course is the one to play on. No par 5's. The course has good water, and easy par 3's that are helpful when you feel the pressure of the group behind you when your beginning. For the price, the location in Fountain Valley's Mile Square Park is beautiful, and I've never felt that a person starting off in the sport would feel embarrassed to make a mistake at this course.

"Must Play"
This golf course has an excellent layout and is a must play in the Detroit area. The greens, fairways, and tees were all in good shape and I believe they had four or five sets of tees to choose from for all different skill levels. The bag drop, shop staff, professionals, bartenders, waitresses, rangers, and starters were all extremely curtious and helpful. I really felt like I was a member at this club. For $70 on a weekend I was a little afraid I wouldn't get my money worth. Now I make about an hour trip a few times a month to play the course.
