This is a very private and exclusive club where it depends on your membership standing as to how many days in advance you may make your tee time reservation. The fairways are wide and tree lined, and the greens are undulating and large. The James River comes into play on the least three holes. The signature hole is #16, a 504-yard, par 5, requiring a tee shot between two bunkers, then an approach shot to a well-bunkered green that has a river flowing alongside.

"Great Private Course - Gem in CNY"
If you have a reciprocal with this course, you should take advantage. It's well maintained, with narrow fairways, and challenging greens. You need to have your iron game, because your second shot into most greens is critical. A bail out will cost you a stroke, as almost all holes have sand bunkers guarding the greens. Good fun for the ave golfer and player alike. A real Must Play.

"Totally worth it!"
For the price they ask, it's totally worth it! It's a great course! There may not be that many trees, but I noticed a few projects that looked like they were working on it, and there is still plenty of beauty surrounding it. Water hazards made it challenging, but all the more fun. Very well kept! The maintenance crew must work hard!

"Good greens"
The corse isn't extreamly long, but can pose a challenge from the back tees, especially for the mid-long hitters. It is well manicured, and the greens have a smooth, consistant roll.

"Magnificent"
This course is quite enjoyable to play. While length is not much of a factor, it plays much tighter than it appears. It is a fun course, and one that will test your risk/reward skills. The course is well developed, and very hilly. I would suggest that you ride while playing this course as well. This course is one that I wouldn't mind playing any day of the week.
