This scenic course was cut out a forest on former farm land. Some of the fairways are dogleg configurations with some undulation. The greens are primarily flat however. There are a few water hazards and many sand bunkers in the design. The signature hole is #15, a 182-yard, par 3, which calls for an all-carry over a pond with no safe area to lay-up around the green.

For the price, great deal. Nice greens, nothing amazing, could be maintained better, but great deal for the money. Fun course for all levels of golfers.

this is a great course for an average golfer. its maintained well, and the holes are just long enough to offer a challenge. for the price, there really isn't another course in town that can beat it. possibly msu, but they are a little more pricey.

Golf Club at Cimarron Trails, The
"My review"
Cimarron Trails is one of the most challenging and exciting courses I have played in my lifetime of golfing. I would recommend this course to any serious and/or just weekend golfers. The first minte entering the spetacular and spacious clubhouse you get a feeling of something special happening. It smells like golf and it is golf incarnate. The front nine is narrow and short. A good drive and a short iron to the green and you will score well. The back nine is a completely different course than the front. Long open fairways for the long hitter and you will need your long irons or fairway woods to get you to the green.

Ridge Country Club
"Ridge C.C. Review"
Ridge may not be a very long course, its only 6200 from the tips but its tricky. All of the holes are very narrow making accuracy important. Also, most of the greens are tiny and very difficult to hold because they are the fastest greens on the south side of Chicago. The course superintendent, Gary Galecki, deserves a lot of credit because the course is not just in good shape, its immaculate. This course is a treat for any golfer regardless of skill level.
