This course is part of the Red Mike Resort. It was built in the countryside and plays alongside Lake Sakakawea. The terrain is rolling, so you can expect some uneven lies. The course overlooks a valley and is extremely scenic. The fairways are wide open, and the greens are large and multi-tiered. There are no water hazards, but several sand bunkers do come into play. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the #1 "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996. It was also selected 2nd in the category of "Best New Affordable Courses" for 1996, and it was also rated as the #1 "Best in State" course for 1997-98. "GOLFWEEK" ranked it 41st among "America's 100 Best Modern Courses" for 1997, 75th for 1998 and 81st for 1999.

Sunset Hill Golf Club
"Sunset is an awesome course!"
Sunset Hill is an awesome course. I play on a high school golf team, and its our practice course. But after season is over, we have to start paying to play golf again. The one thing that Sunset is good for is that it's cheap and reliable. I as a high school athelete, don't feel like paying 50 dollars to go play some course with a tee time that is just horrible. Sunset on the other hand has a low price thats friendly to the everyday golfer. So it might not be in the best shape, but its fun to play because there is no rush and its cheap to play. All in all, its an awesome course!

Desert Aire is a good course for beginners to play because it is flat and doesn't offer too much in the way of hazzards to get in the way of an enjoyable round. They also have good deals for junior players.

"Fun, enjoyable Course"
Some of the most severe greens I have ever putted on. Leaving your approach shot in the correct spot on most greens is vital to avoid 3 (or 4) putts. Not an extremely long course, but the Blue Tees offer a nice challenge, and the greens certainly make up for it. Paired with the extremely affordable rates Oxbow charges, this is a can't miss opportunity when in Southern Ohio.

Manteno Golf Club
"Awesome"
This is the best course that I have ever played. It has lucious fairways and big bending doglegs. The thick rough gets you in trouble if you do not hit the fairway. It has a lot of rolling hills and elevation changes. This is a very challenging golf course.
